DTF printing
The method of applying prints on clothes, fabric and other products through the use of a Direct to Film printer is categorized as DTF printing. Not only does the DTF printing process involve creating a special image but it also consists of creating a film that allows heat and pressure to easily transfer the image onto the desired fabric.
Process of DTF printing:
1. Printing on a Film: Using special inks, a design is printed onto a film that is plastic and polyethylene based.
2. Application of Adhesive Powder: An adhesive powder is made over the inked design, this ensures the ink adheres to the film. The design is then placed in an oven.
3. Transfer: A t-shirt, fabric or any material is put on a heat press and the film has already been designed and is moved around the surface for the ink to transfer over.
4.Finish: The film layer is peeled off, and the graphic that was designed is now embedded in the surface of the material, irreversibly.
